Since 2010, the Global Entrepreneurship Week Germany is hosted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. With launching the so-called “Gründungswoche Deutschland” (Startup Week Germany), the Ministry wants to create a nationwide network in order to promote the entrepreneurial spirit all over Germany.

All in all, the partners offer youth competitions, entrepreneurship fairs, start-up-days, consulting/expert advice and many more. The partners - focusing on youth entrepreneurship - put an emphasis on recognizing and supporting entrepreneurs who have started their own companies or want to start a business. All combined activities in Germany help to inspire, encourage and support the next generation of entrepreneurs in Germany.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is supported by the RKW Competence Center which organizes the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Germany.
