Since 2015, the Karl Schlecht Foundation has supported the combination of entrepreneurial training and intensive, professionally guided personal development within the UnternehmerTUM's entrepreneurial qualification programme "Manage&More" with "Leadership Engineering at UnternehmerTUM" (LEUTUM). The successful cooperation will now be continued for another three years.
In view of globalisation and digitalization as well as rapid changes in the economy, society and politics, prospective managers and founders are facing major challenges. At German universities, students receive excellent professional training. However, they rarely have the opportunity to systematically reflect on themselves, on their own abilities and strengths, their own goals and values.
Considering these challenges, how can they evolve into good leaders and promote good leadership? The ability to think and act entrepreneurially on the one hand and to lead in an authentic and value-oriented way on the other plays a central role. With the LEUTUM project, the Karl Schlecht Foundation and UnternehmerTUM have been pursuing the goal of training scholarship holders at "Manage&More" since 2015. The objective is to enable the participants to become managers, founders and entrepreneurs who are characterised by reflected leadership, behaviour and interaction.
Entrepreneurship & Tech Education combined with personality and character development
The comprehensive offers of LEUTUM start with the individual and promote an engagement with self-perception, self-knowledge, self-management and team leadership. This is combined with entrepreneurial training in methods such as design thinking, business design and project management as well as soft skills. The Manage&More scholarship holders invest 15 to 20 hours per week in this training - in addition to their studies. They benefit especially from the strong entrepreneurial network of UnternehmerTUM.
