Do you have an idea that you would like to turn into a business? Or would you like to explore your dream of becoming an entrepreneur one day? Then the Business Plan Basic Seminar is for you! Will you have to do this alone? No, you can choose a coach who will be with you every step of the way on this hands-on journey. Develop your business idea in agile, iterative cycles with a lot of real-life feedback. This seminar is held completely online, so you’re very flexible with every team meeting. Have your personal coach right beside you and get support from experienced lecturers.

Each semester about 25 students from interdisciplinary study backgrounds join the CDTM. The honors degree ‘Technology Management’ is an add-on study program that offers credits in a variety of domains. Through seminars on trend research, product development, and entrepreneurship, students gain hands-on experience that they can readily apply beyond the CDTM. Studies abroad at renowned partner universities in Asia, Europe, and North America are an integral part of the curriculum, emphasizing the high degree of internationality of the program. In addition to the academic opportunities, students gain access to an active network of alumni, academics, and professionals, and become part of a lifelong community of highly motivated and talented peers.

The Mircoclass offers insights into design driven workflows and determine the design needs in innovation processes and select appropriate methods for each. The goal of the format is to develop concepts and business-relevant ideas that align technical innovations with real user needs and design skills. The basis for the design work in the interdisciplinary team is the independent elaboration of the specific design briefing. It is important to systematically understand the needs of potential users, anticipate scenarios for applications, and implement them in prototypes that are aligned with user needs in an iterative development process.

This workshop provides an introduction to entrepreneurial thinking. We ground the workshop in the strong belief that the capabilities of entrepreneurship will be critical to every scientist’s or manager’s future career, whether he or she chooses to create a standalone new venture, becomes a member of the corporate, government, or NGO world, or wants to excel in academia. The workshop is intended to provide doctoral candidates with an experience of thinking and behaving in the typical manner of successful entrepreneurs. The workshop will explore and examine the core features of entrepreneurship. The central part will be the identification and exploitation of new opportunities to create and capture value. We will also connect such endeavors to your personal motivations and goals.

The Digital Product School (DPS) is a three-month training program where participants from a wide range of disciplines learn to build digital products in agile project teams. A prototype in twelve weeks! Software Engineers, AI Engineers, Interaction Designers, Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers can apply.
