Clean Tech is often resource- and capital-intensive, with scientific spin-offs facing particular challenges in securing funding. Our panelists will discuss their journeys from scientific innovation to impactful market solutions with impressive fundraising achievements, offering valuable lessons on the challenges and triumphs of transitioning from research to successful ventures. Join us for an evening of deep insights and inspiring stories.

In the scope of XPRENEURS XLab Track supported by Vector Foundation.

We are looking forward to welcoming Gregor Haidl, a Principal at HTGF. He is an expert in venture capital and investments in industrial tech startups, who will share strategies for overcoming financial hurdles and suceeding as Clean Tech startup and science spinoff. Following this, we will hear from three groundbreaking science spin-offs: Peak Quantum, Evum Motors GmbH and Proxima Fusion. Each of these start-ups is transforming their respective fields—quantum computing and energy solutions. Our panelists will discuss their journeys from scientific innovation to impactful market solutions with impressive fundraising achievements, offering valuable lessons on the challenges and triumphs of transitioning from research to successful ventures.

Join us for an evening of deep insights and inspiring stories and don't forget to secure a ticket here on Eventbrite.

// About the expert and panelists

HTGF: HTGF is a venture capital investor for innovative technologies and business models.

Gregor Haidl, Principal at HTGF: Gregor studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich and is a graduate of the Manage & More program at UnternehmerTUM. He is a Principal in the Industrial, Climate, and Deep Tech Team at High-Tech Gründerfonds in Munich. His focus is on industrial software solutions in the fields of R&D, automation, and energy, as well as supporting founders on their journey to achieving product-market fit.

//

Proxima Fusion: "Fusion energy will be clean, abundant and safe". Proxima Fusion develops fusion power plants based on the stellarator concept to enable the global transition to de-carbonized, cheap, and abundant energy. The Munich based start-up believes that fusion has the potential to provide abundant, clean and safe energy. That’s why they are taking the technical approach with the clearest path to grid deployment.

Lennart Bock, Head of Operations: Lennart is a skilled individual with a strong background in fusion research. With experience at various prestigious institutions such as Proxima Fusion and the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, Lennart has contributed significantly to the field through their work on impurity transport, wall composition evolution, and experimental studies.

//

Evum Motors: "The smart transport solution for optimal productivity and effortless work on four powerful wheels." The EVUM aCar is a low-maintenance, durable and robust commercial vehicle which, as an all- electric van, not only contributes to the positive CO2 balance of your fleet, but also offers the most economical solution in terms of total costs. The environmental bonus, for example, lowers your acquisition costs. But you save much more.

Sascha Koberstaedt (Co-founder and prior CEO): Sascha has been leading the company since its inception in August 2017, initially serving as Founder and CEO for almost six years. Sascha has a strong background in automotive technology, completing his PhD in mechanical Engineering and working as a Research Associate at TUM for over four years. At TUM, he led the aCar mobility project, which focused on developing affordable electric vehicles for emerging markets. His earlier experience includes roles at BMW Group, where he contributed to the development of electric powertrains, driving dynamics, and project management for hybrid vehicles like the X5 and X6.
